2010 Prize List Now Available

EASTERN FUTURITY ON THE GROW!!!

The Eastern Yearling Futurity, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Arabian Horse Association, is completing its' successful, first year. Currently 38 mares are enrolled with the first showing to be at the 2010 Eastern Arabian Horse Show/East Coast Youth Championships & East Coast Championships.

The Eastern Yearling Futurity was started as a way for owners to display their horses and give them a chance to market the yearlings at a large, east coast, centralized show.

The 2009 relocation of the show to Virginia and the Virginia Horse Center has allowed the show to grow significantly, entries up by 145% in the first year, when many shows had downturns. 2010 will be the first year for the Futurity in the show ring and will feature the foals of mares nominated in 2008.

The Futurity is seeking a financial sponsor to increase the payouts and vigorous promotion to present the best of the East!

For those wishing to nominate a mare for the 2011 Eastern Futurity the DEADLINE is January 31, 2010.

Rules/Requirements:
1. The Eastern Futurity will be a YEARLING FUTURITY.
2. The owner of the mare must be a member of an AHA club in the Eastern Time Zone
3. The payment structure to be 3 (three) payments. $25 mare nomination and two $50.00 foal/yearling payments. Payment may be made in total.
4. The fee to nominate the mare is $25.00 due by February the year of foaling.
5. Once the mare is nominated the resulting foal may be "caught up" at a 100% penalty
6. The fees for the resultant offspring are $50.00 due by December 31 of the foaling year and $50.00 by June 1 of the yearling year.
7. There will be two classes each: a filly and a colt/gelding (Purebred and Half-Arabian maintained separately)
8. After expenses, a maximum of 10%, the mare nomination fee will be divided equally between the two classes.
9. The payout shall be to six places 40%, 25%, 15%, 10%, 5% & 5%
10. Failing to have adequate numbers to pay the entire pot the balance will be distributed with the same payout structure; all fee income will be paid out, no carry over.
11. Any additional income from sponsorship or activities will be divided equally UNLESS donation is dedicated by donor.
